"You're My Best Friend"

The song "You're my Best Friend" by Don Williams kind of sums up the relationship I share with my best friend and brother, Sam:

You're my bread when I'm hungry
You're my shelter from troubled winds
You're my anchor in life's ocean
But most of all, you're my best friend

When I need hope and inspiration
You're always strong when I'm tired and weak
I could search this whole world over
You'd still be everything that I need.

Love...

I took this one for my Sis, Yoshi and her fiance, Reece:

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

For Mother

This picture isn't a mother and her child: it is my friend Natalie and the little boy is Zachery, and they were having a little chat, but I titled this picture" For Mother", and here is why:

"Thou art thy mother's glass, and she in thee
Calls back the lovely April of her prime."
~William Shakespeare

Sunrise Delights

I visited the Ross Barnett Reservoir in Madison one evening, recently, and I didn't have my camera with me, unfortunately. However, on my fall break, I got some wonderful pictures (I think) of the morning light on the water a few of which I'd like to share with you:

It reminds me of the Bible verse: "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies are new every morning! Great is Thy faithfulness, O Lord!"
~ Lamentations 3:22-23

And then on the day I returned to school, we started out very early, and I got some beautiful shots of the red sunrise:
And then, if I can find them on my computer, I got some really dark reddish - almost sunset colour ones!

Isn't God a wonderful Creator! He makes ALL things so beautiful!

The Beauty of Boyhood

These are some pictures of two little boys I took that I want to share with you:

This little man here is 18 month old Andrew, who I met on my fall break. I just love the innocence in his face as he discovers something new on his journey in life.

The next picture I'd like to share with you is 4 year old Zachery. I think the picture represents the mischievous tactics of a pre-kindergartner!

How it all began...

I have always had a deep fascination with photography, although I've never thought of myself as very good. This summer I had the opportunity to get for myself a new Nikon D-40 SLR, and this little 'toy' of mine - with an 18-55 mm lens has been my constant companion along the way as I learn to take pictures of different things, and do it well too. I don't do this for money - it is not my job. I only want to have some fun with my camera, and enjoy the beauty of God's creation. The world is so beautiful - sometimes we just don't take the time to appreciate it.

I hope you'll enjoy looking at my pictures. Although these images are not copyrighted, I'd appreciate it if you'd e-mail me before you use them for any purpose. Thanks ever so much.

Many Blessings,
